The tyre is the only point of contact between the forklift and the ground — grip, load stability and operator safety all depend on it. There are two main types: pneumatic (air-filled, for outdoor use) and solid (solid rubber, puncture-proof, for warehouses).
How does it help in daily activities?
The right tyre reduces vibration, provides consistent grip under variable loads and eliminates the risk of unplanned stoppages caused by a puncture — an essential advantage for fleets that work non-stop.

How to choose the right forklift tyres
01Pneumatic or solid
Pneumatic tyres absorb shocks on uneven ground, in industrial yards and on unpaved surfaces, and suit diesel or LPG forklifts working outdoors. Solid tyres do not puncture, even on floors with metal or construction debris, and go on forklifts working in warehouses and halls, including electric ones. For floors that are sensitive to marks, confirm the Mark or Non-Mark variant with our team.
02Lip or STD
Lip fits one-piece rims without a locking ring and needs no hydraulic press, so changing a tyre is quick. STD is press-fitted onto split rims with a locking ring, for maximum hold in intensive use. The two are not interchangeable: Lip tyres are not compatible with rims that have a locking ring.
03Reading the sidewall
Read the marking on the sidewall of the old tyre. In 18 x 7 - 8, the first number is the outer diameter, the second the width and the last the rim diameter, all in inches; in 6.50 - 10 the outer diameter is omitted: the width is 6.50 and the rim 10. The same tyre can appear under two notations, for example 8.15 - 15 and 28 x 9 - 15.
